The Intermediate Program is designed for students who are ready to further refine their musicianship and technique. This program includes a side-by-side orchestra experience with more advanced Suzuki students enrolled in the Advanced Chamber Orchestra program, in addition to opportunities to further refine students' Suzuki repertoire. The day will begin at 8am and classes conclude with a Final Concert from 2:15-3:00pm.

Students who can enroll in this program include:  

VIOLIN students in Books 3 & 4

VIOLA students in Book 3*

CELLO students in Book 3*

*Due to differences in how the books are designed, viola and cello students in Suzuki Book 4 should enroll in the Chamber Orchestra Program instead of this program.

Advanced Preparation:

1. Your child will play a piece (or excerpt of their piece) at their masterclass lesson. This is often the student's current polished piece. Talk with your child's teacher to prepare for this experience. 

2. Work with your child's teacher to prepare "Where the River Shannon Flows" for Orchestra Experiences with Dr. Laurie Scott. The ensemble will have just one 60-min rehearsal to prepare for the final concert, and students should come with their parts well prepared at this level.
