The Pre-Twinkle Program is for beginning string students studying violin, viola, and cello. Students may be working on preparatory activities before Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or approaching a Twinkle Graduation, but they might not be prepared yet to participate in a Book 1 & 2 Group lesson. To ensure a good fit, students should have graduated from boxed instruments and have a healthy bow hold before the workshop. 

On March 15th, the day will begin at 8am and classes conclude at 11am. Enjoy a 15-min concert by the UMKC Graduate String Quartet in the Grant Hall Atrium as you exit (11:00-11:15am). Students in the Pre-Twinkle Program will not perform in the final concert, but are welcome to attend and observe (2:15-3:00pm in Grant Recital Hall).

• Pre-Twinkle Group Class with with Dr. Laurie Scott
  
• Masterclass lessons in small groups of 3-4 students
  
• Choice of enrichment class
• Short concert by the UMKC Graduate String Quartet in Grant Hall Atrium as you exit
• Parent-Teacher Talk with Dr. Laurie Scott titled "Creating a Self-Sustaining Musical Environment"
